A stunning CG shot film, NEO HUAMN, that presented by personal artist NOPED, stands out lately. With an amazing date of over 1.56 million views, the work has caught many eyes. Get to know about the work independently completed by an individual artist over a period of one year with XRender!

First presented in February 2022, the CG shot was shared by NOPED on the famous Chinese video site Bilibili. According to NOPED, NEO HUMAN is a sic-fi work “intended to express my imagination about the future life forms of human beings”, which also was his graduate work of 2022.

The work is based on the creator's two years of software self-study, and from scripts, storyboards, to soundtrack, modeling, etc., all of them are independently completed by NOPED. If you have seen this work, you will be shocked by the high degree of completion of this work, and it is actually made by a prospective graduate!

According to an interview CG World made with NOPED, NEO HUMAN was always in the process of continuous creation and optimization: from simple creation ideas, combined with appropriate music for storyboard creation; and then starting from the creation of 3D assets based on the content of the storyboard... the whole process is undergoing constant subversion and optimization.

For NOPED, the creation of many 3D assets is a new attempt: not only the model needs to focus on the integrity of the style of the work, but also the structural rationality of 3D models such as buildings and robotic arms.

Since the whole work was completed by himself, a variety of software were used in the creation process: C4D and Zbrush were mainly used for 3D modeling creation; Marvelous Designer for fabrics, Substance Painter for materials, and X-particle for particle effects, etc.
