As another animated movie of the popular IP Ninja Turtles,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem focues more on teenage aspect of the Turtles and tells the story of four Turtle brothers who win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. They take on a mysterious crime syndicate with the help of their new friend April O’Neil, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
The project was announced by in June 2020, and debuted as an unfinished film at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 12, 2023. It is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on August 2.

The project wasfirst announced in 2017alongside five other feature film projects from Pearl Studio. The project was thenattached to Netflix in 2021and tentatively scheduled for release in 2023.
