Autodesk has rolled out Arnold 7.3.2, the latest version of its production renderer, packed with enhancements for tonemapping, volume rendering, and light linking.

The update introduces the capability to modify hue and saturation while tonemapping toon-shaded images, alongside significant enhancements in volume rendering, diminishing artefacts and conserving more detail throughout the denoising process.

Numerous performance optimizations encompass accelerated rendering using Global Light Sampling, most notably demonstrated in the ALab USD test scene that executes at double the speed. Furthermore, GPU rendering and compatibility with OSL shaders have been bolstered, along with the assimilation of OpenVDB Version 11.0.

All integration plugins for 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Katana, and Maya have been updated to accommodate these new advancements.

Arnold 7.3.2 is compatible with Windows 10+, RHEL/CentOS 7+ Linux, and macOS 10.13+. GPU rendering is accessible on both Windows and Linux, necessitating a compatible Nvidia GPU.
