On May 27, 2021, Acer unveiled a lot of new laptops with new software, one of which is SpatialLabs™, a 3D software displaying stereoscopic 3D models and videos relying on their ConceptD notebook, helping archeitects and designers to interact with their creations.
This software changes the way Industrial designers, product designers and character designers design by visualizing their designs. To put it simply, the designs, no matter products, characters or architectures, will literally float out of the screen, and creators can scrutinize them in real-time and 360 degrees—without specialized glasses.
Technology and supported software
It combinesan eye-tracking solution, a stereoscopic 3D display and real-time rendering technologies to realize this function. However, the technology is still on trial in a small range for SpatialLabs Developer Program. Besides, it supports major formats such as Blender and Autodesk 360.
For 3D designers
This software will enhance 3D designers’ workflow with the convenience of instantly seeing their designs at any time, so they can have more time and resources on the creative process.
