After its initial launch last year, the second annual Geeked Week, hosted by streaming platform Netflix, is coming next week. Each day of the Geek Week this year, based on a different theme, will feature Netflix's top sci-fi, comics, games, and unique series and movies .

The five-day free online event will run from June 6-10 this year, offering fans a variety of scoops, the latest trailers, star live and more. Get to know about the latest news of the Geeked Week with XRender!

| New Surprise: Wednesday


With Thing showing alone, Netflix has announced the first look about the spin-off of “The Addams Family”, Wednesday. And the official trailer will be released on June 6th, next Monday at Geek Week!

The series is a suspense drama that combines detective and supernatural elements, and chronicles the life of Wednesday Addams after entering the Nevermore Academy. Wednesday will need to learn to master her growing supernatural powers, investigate the brutal killings that have terrified the town, and unravel the paranormal mysteries that her parents were involved in 25 years ago. In addition to all above, she will have to face all kinds of strange classmates, to deal with new and complex interpersonal relationships.

Chistina Ricci

The iconic role of Wednesday goes to the 18-year-old up-and-comer Jenna Ortega. In the meanwhile, Chistina Ricci, who casted Wednesday Addams in 1991’s The Addams Family and its sequel, Addams Family Values, although with new role remaining unknown, is confirmed to return the spin-off. Wednesday will be released this Fall and we should also get a more precise release window during Geeked Week.

Geeked Week 2022 - Schedule Reveal

As Netflix tells, “Every day promises lots of excitement about our Netflix genre series, films and games, including exclusive teaser and trailer premieres, sneak peeks, surprise announcements, never-before-seen footage, cast interviews, script table reads”. We can surely enjoy feast!

Over five days of Geeked Week, Netflix will spotlight more than 60 different projects currently in development, including season three of The Umbrella Academy, season four of Stranger Things, Resident Evil and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. In addition to these episodes, Geeked Week's new trailer also showcases a number of new footage from Netflix's live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, starring Tom Sturridge as Dream and Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer.

As we can see from the announcement of Geeked Week, each day of the week will dedicated to a special theme. And you can enjoy the Geeked Week via almost all major platforms of Nextflix, including YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch and Facebook channels.
