| Realistic Cam Performance
Appropriate camera shake is helpful to increase the realism of the scene. If you are interested in adding more shaking effects to your projects, especially for simulating manual shooting or shooting scenes with bad terrain conditions, you should probably take Shakify into consideration. It is a "real life" Blender camera shake add-on shared by Ian Hubert.
The add-on requires Blender 2.91 or later and uses license under the GNU General Public License, version 2. Learn more on artist's Twitter page and download the tool on GitHub for free.
In addition, a new IOS app, which is known as VirtuCamera, has also been released this year. It enables users to turn their iPad or iPhone into a real-time camera motion controller and is available for both Maya and Blender. Here's an example of the tool in action:
The process is pretty straightforward: move your Apple device in any direction and VirtuCamera will capture the motion and instantly send it over Wi-Fi to the camera in Maya or Blender. You can push the Rec button to store motion in keyframes.
VirtuCamera is now available on Apple's AppStore for iOS and iPadOS devices with ARKit support for $4.99. Add-ons for Blender and Maya are available here for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Blender 2.80 and above. plus Maya 2017 and above).
| Quick Ivy Generator
A fast and free Ivy Generator for Blender is released by artist and developer Antoine Bagattini. It uses the new geometry nodes in Blender 3.0 as a base to generate ivy to cover the provided mesh. Density, offset, area, and more is available for adjustment according to your needs.
The toolkit is available for free but only for Blender 3.0 as the latest update introduced Geometry Nodes. You can learn more and get the tool for free here.
